Pre-Show "Part A - The Location"
Sixteen castaways will be marooned in Kiribati, a group of three archipelagos, thirty-two atolls and one coral island. This country is threatened by the rising of the level of water because of its low altitude. They are looking for a new territory because of that.
Twenty of the thirty-three islands are inhabited. These islands experience a tropical climate, giving them an exotic theme. The dominant species in vegetation is the coconut tree. It has been estimated that it represents eighty percent of the land area.
The most unique aspect of the culture in Kiribati is the songs and dances. To them, dancing is not an entertainment; it is a form of storytelling and a display of the skill, beauty and endurance of the person dancing.
During the Second World War, Tarawa (an island of Kiribati) was occupied by the Japanese Army. Nearly six thousand of Americans and Japanese had died on this small island. That was a bloody battle.

Pre-Show"Part B - The Immunities"
The tribal immunity is a wooden tiki idol. A tribe who wins this will see their whole tribe winning immunity, and the opposite tribe will have to vote off one of their own.
Winning this guarantees an individual person to be safe at tribal council.

Pre-Show"Part C - Tribal Council"
The tribal council is a group of bungalows built on stilts, regrouped by different bridges.
The bridge made of wood is very solid and not too narrow to allow castaways to follow through in one straight line. Tribal council is over… Castaways return back to camp using this path again.

Pre-Show"Part E - Contestants"
They are the 16 castaways who will compete :
“I’m a chameleon in the game of Survivor. My charisma is what gets me by in this game and earns me the victory. I’m usually a little flirt, I’ll be the girl that charms her way into the boys’ hearts. You have to talk to the right people, and then make your moves from there. I would never stoop myself to an unclassy level in any sort of way. I mean, I have dignity, and I want to always keep it in tact.”
“At High School, I was the ultimate nerd. I’m one of those guys that people naturally can trust me as a friend. I’m quite friendly and I do talk, even if it takes a bit of trying to get me out of my shell. People probably think of me as nice, a bit naive, yet strong minded. If I might have to lie, I either tell them straight up out of respect or else just give a false story to them off my case.”
“I will keep everyone on their toes if given a good opportunity by always trying to switch shit up. I can lie at the drop of a hat, and play people against each other to benefit myself. I can sometimes say outrageously funny things or outrageously dumb things. Play socially, not physically. I’m always lying and trying to get myself one step closer without caring about anyone else. Survivor is all about yourself and your alliance that is going to help you get further.”
“I hope everyone thinks I’m a nice person even though it’s hard to always be nice to everyone. I was friends with the people others didn’t like in high school. I would be nice to the people with disabilities and things like that. I would be seen as an underdog player, even though I’m not the strongest at challenges. I never give up. I just try to get in an alliance by approaching as many people as I can early in the game.”
“I’m a unique person, and you can count on me to be doing things that no one else is doing. I’m goofy and make people think I’m just messing around. Making them think that I’m not taking the game seriously is all part of my technique to advance to the end. I can come into a tribal council a target and still survive it. It will look like I’m pathetic if I can get away with it and it will help me advance. I’ll be loyal to the grave to my allies without any major backstabbing.”
“I consider myself a player in a game. I'm a bit snarky, and I tell it like it is. I truly care about other people and what they're going through which tends to draw people towards me. My strength is my ability to quickly analyze social situations and determine where the power structure lies. Identifying who has the power now and in the near future is a very difficult thing to do, but it is an essential first step towards shifting that power dynamic towards you and away from your competitors.”
“Oh god, let’s start with weaknesses. I have far far too many. I don’t have a lot of drive to personally win. Winning is the point, but for me, reaching the end the way I want to is reward enough for me. Lies and backstabbing are all within the realm of doable for me and at first thought it’s kind of hard to think of what I wouldn’t do.”
“I’m not the kind of person who would settle down for less than SOLE SURVIVOR. I’m such a cut-throat player! So I’ll do anything to get there… backstab, lie, cheat and steal. I don’t care, it’s just a game. After getting to know everyone, I just FORCE them to offer me an alliance. I also make sure I have a back up alliance and side deal in case I want to flip or something.”
“I’m real boo, I’m real, and I don’t do none of that fake shit. You best believe if anybody tries to be fake with me, I will pop them in the mouth. I ain’t flippy floppy. When I make a decision, I stick to it. My weaknesses in Survivor are my mouth. I got a big mouth. I would do anything in a game to win. I would swear on my family and friends, I would get down and dirty. You’ll see me as confrontational, blunt and competitive. I’m black, so what, bitch? You got something else to say!?”
“At High School, I was picked on. All day, every day cause I am the most famous person on this planet. I am too loyal, they think I’m annoying. I break in like ice and fire. Challenges, I am okay as long as they’re easy. Bring it on!”
“I believe all the older women are going to be my fans. Age is just a number; last season the older women were a huge disappointment, they let our whole gender and generation down. I don’t have time to deal with stupid young people who think they know best. I would never put myself in the level of players like Natalie or Sugar from last season. They are a humiliation to women. A woman should be praised for her brains before her beauty. ”
“I tend to be very loyal and have people put their trust in me. I am usually a pushover when it comes to what I want in an alliance. I may want one person out fairly bad but will let my alliance mates choose someone else to go without much of a fight. I worry that it looks too much like riding coattails. Once I get close to someone, I’m usually willing to give my place up for them.”
“I’m a social person and can get along with everyone regardless of personality types. I’m a nice enough guy that I can betray players but be kind enough about it that they’ll still support me in the finales. Another reason why they’ll support me is my determination. I’m a perfectionist and hate leaving my faith in the hands of someone I don’t trust, so my paranoia will sometimes cause me to doubt someone.”
“I will possess the qualities that turned so many people off about Tyson: the confidence, the ego, and the will to be the best at this game, and having no shame to tell everyone that I am the best. I don’t have any weaknesses. All I have is my strength. My strength corresponds to many fields. I can get a whole crew to follow me, and can easily get a girl to rid my coattails to the end. They will see me as blunt, over-confident, and egotistical douche. But you know what? I don’t care.”
“I’m the type of player that can keep the game interesting. I can dominate the game and become the most hated villain of all time. My strengths are definitely my brains and ability to adapt to the situation I find myself in. I’d make up any kind of lie imaginable. I think they are dumb enough to trust me and hope that they’re stupid enough to keep me around. If these people were smart, they’d get rid of me. It’s the smartest thing they could do. But they won’t. They never do.”
“I’m the full package! I can manipulate anyone and I know what to do to get myself to the end, without making myself look like an ass. I’m smart, I can read people well. I can disassociate friendship from the game. It’s nothing personal. I hope that people find me fun to be around and a smart player. If I have to throw someone on my tribe under the bus, no sweat. I’m not afraid to do what I have to do to get to the end.”
